Sound Social Care is the North West’s leading provider of temporary staffing solutions for adult social services. And thanks to our hands-on management team, we are able to rapidly determine – and execute – the best course of action to resolve staffing issues as and when they arise. We take great care to fully grasp your needs and we work efficiently to fulfil those needs.

Understanding Your Precise Needs:

Getting a solid understanding of exactly what your staffing requirements are is central to the success of our service. We aren’t content to fit round pegs in square holes; an imperfect solution is no solution at all. Once we have an exact comprehension of your precise requirements, we can go about partnering you with the adult social workers best equipped to fulfil these requirements. That way, we can ensure that the adults under their supervision are receiving the highest possible levels of care.

Thorough Recruitment Process:

Every candidate has to meet a round of rigorous requirements, each carried out with the intention of distinguishing the very best applicants. Enhanced DBS checks, interviews, references and tailored training are just a few of many conditions prospective candidates have to satisfy. By administering such an intensive selection procedure on your behalf, we eliminate the need for your organisation to go through the time-consuming vetting process.

Temporary To Permanent Recruitment:

We show the same diligence and thoroughness in our more permanent recruitment strategies. Our temporary to permanent service gives clients the opportunity to trial workers for a time before they decide whether or not to hire them on a full time basis. We are also able to source candidates for full time positions through our dedicated recruitment consultant, who has an impressive track record of pairing suitable applicants with social care organisations.

Children's Social Care
Sound Social Care is an experienced, market leader provider of temporary staffing solutions to child care services. We have a proven track record in providing Ofsted compliant experienced child care workers that enable our clients to accept those last minute young person referrals without having to worry about your own internal staffing numbers.
Sound Social Care is on hand 24/7 to guide you towards a swift and effective solution – simply contact your designated office and we take care of the rest. We recognise our responsibility to provide a stellar service not only to the organisation that has recruitment needs, but to both the candidate that is helping fulfil these recruitment needs and the young people that they will be mentoring.

Staff requirements – whether planned (holidays) or unplanned (illnesses) – can dramatically impact on the functioning of your children’s home. Without a viable solution to combat staffing issues, you run the risk of internal staff burn out or not satisfying Ofsted requirements come inspection time. Responding to your requests for workers in a timely fashion is a priority for us and our hands on management team and our commitment to constant communication means that you are kept up to date with every development.

Flexible & Responsive Service:

Flexible and responsive, Sound Social Care office teams are knowledgeable around Ofsted compliance and you can rest assured that every prospective candidate has been scrupulously vetted. Every Sound Care child care worker has to meet a range of qualitative requirements: a minimum 6 months experience, an enhanced annual DBS check, checkable work history since they left school , multiple references verified over the phone and a requirement to attend Childcare de-escalation training that is specific to the clients service.

We represent a team of highly skilled child and leaving care workers who are available for ad-hoc and temporary contracts in services that accommodate needs from complex autism and physical disabilities to children’s homes for young people whom have been subject to CSE or display social emotional behavioural difficulties. We understand the need for sensitivity and data protection when dealing with childcare services and complete discretion is assured.

If you require a more long-term solution, Sound Social Care can help with that too. With our temp to perm service, clients have the choice of trialling a candidate before deciding whether or not to employ them on a full-time basis. For those looking to recruit child care workers on a permanent basis, we have a designated recruitment consultant overseeing all vacancies who has access to a wealth of experienced candidates.

Learning Disabilities
Support for adults with learning disabilities is crucial; it ensures they have the help they need to get on with their everyday lives. Sound Care establish the desired outcomes for the individuals we support from the very start. Our Care team liaise with the service users support network, health and social care professionals to implement a support plan that is centred around their needs, whilst establishing the desired short, medium and long term goals.

An integral part of this is finding capable workers whom have experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities. They complete a number of recruitment checks prior to working with the individuals they support, but most importantly they have to be the correct match, we establish connections between workers and service users with similar likes and interests.

The initial introduction to a service user is via a ‘meet and greet’ giving the opportunity for both parties to ensure they are comfortable with each other. Following this, a pre-defined number of shadow shifts take place, enabling the worker to familiarise themselves with the required support.

As a quality driven provider, Sound Care have regular reviews of the service provided and of the quality of the overall service provision and that of the individuals who are providing the care and support, to ensure we have made the correct match.

With services throughout the North West, providing to local authorities, CCGs and direct payments, Sound Care pride themselves on providing a service that is of the highest standard whilst ensuring service users are safe and that their health and wellbeing are paramount to this.

Safety Is Our Priority:
The first part of our service is to carry out a full risk assessment. Safety is imperative and the thoroughness of our risk assessment ensures all possible difficulties and challenges are properly identified and mitigated. From there, we then liaise with the patient’s immediate circle – their family, their guardians, their current care professionals – to get a comprehensive picture of their needs and ambitions, and an idea of how best to manage their care going forward.

Rigorous Recruitment Process:

Once we have a clear picture of the most beneficial way to care for the individual, we can then go about partnering them with experienced mental health workers who are perfectly suited to the role. Careers in mental health have a range of qualitative requirements: fully enhanced DBS checks, face to face interviews, having solid references, as well as meeting any training requirements.

We recruit candidates based on their precise suitability for the role, whether we are recruiting for mental health support worker jobs or mental health nurse jobs. Working in mental health is contingent on having a very particular set of skills. They must be able to form trusting relationships and work tirelessly with others to reach the best possible outcome for the individuals in their care.

Meet And Greet Service And Continued Care:

Our meet and greet service ensures that the carer and the individual get on well and regular quality checks ensure that the same high standard of care is maintained throughout their time together.
Sustaining the individual’s health and wellbeing, and where possible, improving it, is a priority for every individual’s care. Fostering a sense of independence is also important to us, and the prospect of playing a pivotal role in fulfilling the life of someone with a mental health condition is something that drives us.

Adult Autism Support
Sound Care partners adults with ASD and associated complex needs with skilled workers that can help promote their independence and improve their health and wellbeing. Regulated by the Care of Quality Commission and with a proven track record of success and a rigorous recruitment process that is designed to meet the specific needs of every individual, Sound Care’s care at home services are highly esteemed and well-respected.

The client’s safety is paramount and a comprehensive risk assessment that precedes their partnership with a carer guarantees every possible difficulty or complication is accounted for. Following this – with the aim of fostering their independence and enriching their health and wellbeing – we produce a person-centred plan for the client by working closely with their family/guardians and health and social care professionals. Because of the involvement of their immediate circle, we know we have formulated a plan that tallies with their precise needs.

Once we have a clear picture of exactly what their needs are, we can begin looking for a worker with the appropriate skills and personality to take care of them. Whether they are going to be working at autism specific services, at the individual’s home or elsewhere, all applicants are subject to the same exacting requirements. A DBS check, an interview, references and relevant training are all prerequisites.

A positive relationship between the person being cared for and their worker is integral to the success of their care. To ensure this is the case, we operate a meet and greet service which gives the individual an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the worker. Following a successful meet and greet service, the prospective candidate will then participate in a number of shadow shifts to gain a complete understanding of the particularities of the role.

Routine can be key to successfully supporting autistic adults, and as a result, we endeavour to consistently partner our clients with the workers they are most familiar with. We aspire to provide the highest possible levels of care, and the results we have garnered from our years of working alongside adults with autism have been inspiring and incredibly rewarding. We hope we can do the same for you.
